Acceptance

Buy Acceptance HERE
By Starla Kaye
Sometimes our lives get so crazy busy with commitments that we have to let something fall way back priority wise. It is really sad when that “something” is a romantic relationship.

Chase Barrington and Rico Sanchez are both stuck in that situation…until they meet. But are a few days of nearly out of control sex just a temporary fix to what has been missing in their lives? Or can it lead to something much more fulfilling?

BLURB:
Chase’s hectic life is out of control and romance never seems to work until he meets a sexy Spaniard who tilts the world for a few brief days. Rico must return home to Spain. Chase must accept that, but will acceptance be enough when it comes to waking up alone?

EXCERPT:
Rico yawned, exhaustion catching up with him as well as having sat for too long. “Sorry. It’s been a long day.”
“I apologize for keeping you out so late.” Chase headed for the doorway. “Hopefully you can get some rest before your plane leaves tomorrow.”
Rest wasn’t what appealed to Rico at the moment. His gaze had followed Chase’s taut ass as he walked ahead of him. He’d been thinking all night about what the handsome blond would look like naked. The man had a well-toned body and a confident way of carrying himself that had captured his interest upon meeting.  When they’d shaken hands, something had passed between them. A slight tingling sensation, but more than that. He’d been almost certain Chase had felt the connection as well. It had been a long time since Rico had felt such a powerful attraction and an aching need to take someone.
“Are you all right?” Chase asked, turning to stop and wait for him to catch up.
Pulled from his wandering thoughts, Rico said, “Si. I just have something on my mind.” He drew in a settling breath and forced a smile. “Someone, actually.”
“Someone?” Chase asked, raising one eyebrow.
Interest was there in the man’s expression, in the heat that flashed in the blue eyes. Rico took a chance. “You.”

Interview with The Milkman

Buy The Milkman Cometh HERE
Today I’m interviewing Kate Richards about her “Edge” book, The Milkman Cometh. An Edge story is sexy, manytimes kinky and preferably takes the reader somewhere they haven't been before. They have sex earlier than in erotic romances, and more often.

Now about the Milkman Cometh:

I love the opening of the book! The milkman who wants to be a city slicker and not a country boy. And he really seems to like his job. Tell us, has Roberto had any other encounters with the housewives of Los Angeles County?

Oh, yes. Roberto does share some of this in the story, but he’s quite the playboy. Of course, he didn’t have any reason not to…at the start.

My, it must get hot there during the summer! Okay, so I see Roberto does make deliveries – special deliveries, wink wink - on his route. And he’s already noticed Alicia’s tempting green eyes. Tell us, how long has she been fueling Robert’s fantasies?

Since the very first time she bent over to pick up her milk and he noticed the sweet curves under her less than tightly-belted robe. She didn’t mean to share, and was quite embarrassed afterward, but Roberto was interested in seeing so much more.

It looks as though Alicia has noticed Roberto as well! What’s her secret plan? Why does she choose him? Where does she get the courage to put her plan in motion?

Alicia is tired of being the subject of gossip just because her husband has left her for someone else. She’s lonely and hurt at being abandoned by her friends. She doesn’t understand why he did her wrong and all the other wives treat her like a threat. So…if she’s going to be accused of something, she might as well have the fun!

Do they share sexual tastes? Are they a good match? Or is Roberto naturally a good match with every woman?

Roberto is, shall we say, gifted. He is capable of making many women’s carnal dreams come true. But his heart is not engaged until he meets Alicia, which also makes him an even better lover, since he desires to please her so much more.

Alicia is very emotional in this story. It’s as though a dam breaks. What has been holding her back all this time? What finally frees her?

It’s the 1950s, things are a whole lot more conservative and women’s roles more defined. She left her home and family in another state when her husband brought her to SoCal. Against their wishes. She is absolutely on her own, and her job ‘housewife’ went out the door with him. It took a while for her to process, grieve, and finally gather the courage to live her life as she chooses, but you’re right, once she does, watch out!

And Roberto changes too. It takes a lot for the sexy milkman to walk away from his long-time route. What makes him want to do so?

He doesn’t feel Alicia would appreciate his chatting with all his conquests on a daily basis, just being a considerate guy.

If you could go back and visit them six months later, what kind of sex would they be having? Can you describe it?

Ever heard of a key party? Roberto is not a saint, and Alicia is definitely cutting loose. While I am not saying that they would participate, you never know about these wild and crazy people once they get their guard down. And even if they don’t I have it on good authority, Roberto’s nephew has been even more of a run-around man than his not too much older uncle.

Thanks for letting me get to know Roberto and Alicia! I had a great time and know other readers will too.

Thank you for inviting me to stop by! I’d like to offer a copy of The Milkman Cometh to one of your commenters, if you’d like to close your eyes and select one at random.

Blurb:
Roberto’s reputation extends far beyond his efficiency as a milkman. He also provides intimate services to the many lonely ladies along his route. But he’s had his eye on a lovely divorcee for quite some time. One who has ignored all his flirting, so far.

Alice is ready to make a fresh start. Treated as the tract harlot, just because she’s on her own, she’s ready to make that name a reality. And she’s going to begin with the handsome milkman who has let her know on several occasions that he’s ready to deliver.

Roberto is playing with fire—a fiery redhead whose surprising innocence may steal his heart and leave the ladies of his route unsatisfied once again!

The History of the Masquerade

Buy The Midnight Masquerade HERE

By Monica Corwin
In the 15th century Carnival season, in Venice, masquerade balls were the social events the royals paraded to. Many would travel far and wide to attend. The influence spread to the whole public of Italy in the 16th century and still usually featured the upper class since they could afford the costumes.
The masquerade trend spread further to Europe in the 17th and 18th centuries and still to England in the 18th century. There are quite a few occurrences of people being assassinated at masked parties. There are still masquerades held in Venice in honor of Carnival every year but a person is required to be in full costume of the time period of the ball and on the guest list. Tickets can run from 400 dollars upwards just to attend.

The Midnight Masquerade was inspired by both good and bad. I thought of the idea after re-reading Edgar Allan Poe’s ‘Masque of the Red Death’. While a masque is more of a pageant or concert then a ball it still had that air of mystery the masked people lend. In addition I wrote this story just after New Year where I attended a ball in Washington DC. Putting both themes together seemed like a logical conclusion.

I hope The Midnight Masquerade transports you to a mysterious and sensual atmosphere and I hope one day you can experience a masquerade for yourself.

Rumored to be the most debauched party of the year on the East coast, The Midnight Masquerade has only two rules: no one leaves and the masks stay on until midnight.
But what kind of trouble can Hannah and two handsome strangers make before midnight?

Excerpt:
Somehow, I’d made it to one of “the boxes” with Ashton Kane, only the mecca of debauchery in the entire country. Ben will never believe this when I tell him. I wished I’d had more to drink then maybe I might be a little smoother, more charming.
He drew me down beside him on the couch and ran a fingertip along the edge of my mask. It only covered my eyes and the top of my nose, but the detail work was exquisite. My whole outfit had been planned around it. Achingly slow, he removed his fingers and put them down in his lap. I stifled a whimper at the loss of that phantom touch.
“You look like someone kicked your puppy.”
I smiled, despite wishing he would return his hands to my face. “I liked that.”
Shifting so his knees aligned with mine, he traced a digit across my bottom lip. I stopped myself from sucking it in. There must have been something in the air because I wanted him, more than I had ever wanted another man. He continued to caress my top lip and my breathing started getting heavy, my panties already wet.
“You like that?” he whispered.
I nodded, not wanting to speak so he wouldn’t stop.
“Where else do you want me to touch you?”
“Anywhere you want.”
