A Woman and Her Vibrator

When it comes to writing erotic romance, the important thing to keep in mind is the sensuality factor. How far do you go when writing a hot and steamy romance? With Decadent Publishing’s Edge line, the possibilities are endless when it comes to how “naughty” the sex could be between the two main characters, or in some instances, three or more having a sexual experience together that leads to many happy, sexually satisfied people.

Most of my books are on the erotic side, but with my GoodVibrations, my first Edge release, I wanted to push the envelope and write something not only jaw dropping but titillating for the reader. The title is very appropriate because it’s all about a woman and her special friend- her vibrator. Many women fondly call their battery operated boyfriend a B.O.B. A B.O.B. is very reliable (until the batteries die out) and its main purpose is to bring a woman pleasure. The idea for Good Vibrations came to me when I wondered, what if a woman was using her B.O.B. and her roommate overheard her? And what if the roommate was in love with the B.O.B-using woman and couldn’t sleep because she was horny?

Now this could have gone a few ways. The eavesdropping woman could have rushed into the room and joined in on the fun or grabbed her own B.O.B. and taken care of business on her own. I decided to let my sexually frustrated character use her B.O.B. to release some of that tension because she keeps her feelings for her self-pleasuring roommate a secret. But something like a vibrator can only go so far for someone who wants a real person. That’s the big issue for Jerri who lusts for Krysta. Jerri doesn’t want to rely on her B.O.B. for and orgasm. She wants nothing more than Krysta to come to her for pleasure and not rely on an inanimate vibrating object to give her that.

Good Vibrations starts out with some vibrator appreciation that evolves into one’s woman quest for not only many orgasms but a happily ever after that will lead her into the arms of the woman she loves.
