Midnight Madness

I got my first e-reader the other day, a shiny Kindle Fire. I know what you’re thinking ‘Uh, WELCOME TO THE 21st CENTURY, O. Good to see you finally.’ I hadn’t taken the plunge because, for one, I’m not very tech savvy (as in I break pricey electronic stuff) and second, I feared making the leap from the tactile pleasure of holding a book. What could possibly compare to the sensation of turning crisp book pages, or that wonderful well-read book aroma?

Honestly, nothing, but I made the delightful discovery of FREE BOOKS!

BLOODY HELL!!!! Classics, contemporary, sci-fi, fantasy, paranormal—good god it’s a pleasure palace of free reads! Enough to make a bibliophile fall on the ground in the throes of ecstasy—we’ll call it a bookgasm. And I’m gobbling them up one after another, all the while neglecting the literally boxes and stacks of books all over my home. Yup, I’ve a new way of hoarding books. Books I really don’t have much time to read. At least doing so via Kindle won’t land me on reality TV, buried alive in my biblio-addiction.

BLURB
Maddie takes a weekend camping trip to forget her two timing ex-boyfriend. Instead of peace and quiet, she stumbles upon two hunks who put the wild in wilderness. And they have plans of their own—to heat up her sexless life. An evening of rowdy lovin’ is just what she needs to get over her broken heart.

When she joins them in a trio that leaves her satisfied and exhausted, they have one more surprise in store called Midnight Madness....

EXCERPT

Who the hell has an orgy in the middle of the wilderness?
Reported random animal attacks had been Maddie’s concern, not the harassing sounds of sex.     She needed peace and quiet to lick her wounds and sort out her life. Not the lusty grunts of some overzealous man giving it to his lady. For the past two hours.
Seriously, two flippin’ hours? She charged through the woods, ready to rain on someone’s parade. They’d just have to find someplace else to have an obscenely loud lovefest.
"God, the nerve of some people.”
She batted at a fly buzzing around her head. So what if she hadn’t had an orgasm in four months—thanks to her selfish ex-boyfriend—well, not one that wasn’t self-induced. And who cared if sex had been nonexistent while the relationship had suffered a slow, painful death.
"Men suck. Certainly no marathon lovemaking for me anytime soon.” She yanked at a limb and flinched when it lashed back against her face, knocking her glasses off. Unreasonable anger boiled over.
“Son-of-a-bitch, piece of….” She kicked out at nothing in particular, giving in to the long overdue temper tantrum. Brambles hooked around her foot and she did a face plant on the leaf-covered forest floor. My utter lack of grace strikes again. Rolling onto her back, she spit out dirt and stuck a scraped finger into her mouth. The wound smarted, distracting her from her fury. She stared at the blue sky through the budding tree limbs, sweat breaking out on her brow. The unseasonably warm spring had driven her to seek a peaceful weekend camping retreat. Maybe she should’ve opted for a hotel with air-conditioning instead. And a six pack of beer, give or take another twelve pack.
“Oh God, yes! More, more, more….” The deep, male voice echoed through the hollow.
Maddie pummeled the ground with her fists. “You oversexed freak!” Her words were drowned out by the man’s grunts.

Fangirl Feels!

by Olivia Starke

I admit it, I’m a fangirl. More precisely I’m SuperWhoLock, meaning I fangirl over Supernatural, Doctor Who, and the BBC’s series Sherlock. I admit it’s a crazy mix of Young Adult, a children’s show, and adult drama. But it’s not such a crazy mix we don’t have our fair share of SuperWhoLock memes on Pinterest, if you’re a fangirl chances are somewhere others will have your exact obsessions.

Today I thought I’d share with you the CW’s Supernatural in hopes of converting others to the dark side of TV obsession (Wednesday 8 pm Central!) Be grateful I didn’t get started on my absolute fixation on everything Doctor Who, Whovians are truly a mad lot to fall in with.

Okay ladies and gentlemen meet the Winchesters. Six foot four Sam Winchester, the younger brother at top, the fandom’s Nerd and all around sensitive brainiac. Bottom is six foot tall Dean Winchester, the alpha jock and BAMF. Both eye candy to the extreme, fighting evil demons, witches, werewolves, vamps and various other baddies while dealing with their co-dependency and Dean’s outside bromances.

For a brief interlude here’s a youtube video of Dean aka Jensen Ackles lip syncing Eye Of The Tiger. Pretty fantastic stuff.

Through the years they’ve rehashed old plots over and over, but that’s the beauty of Fandom—ya Just. Don’t. Care. You’ll hang on to that bloody show until the bitter end. Then beyond (ask any Firefly fan—but honestly its epicness never got a fair shake.) And god forbid it’s cancelled, you’ll rally around it in manic loyalty (again, see Firefly.)

I spent the first several seasons lusting after these two hotties trying to decide if I’d prefer tall babies or pretty babies, but then they introduced Castiel. An awkward angel cast down from Heaven. He was only supposed to be on for a few shows after he saved Dean from Hell. Fans fell in love with his humorous misunderstanding of human existence, not to mention his bad ass powers, so he’s stuck around a few years. And he’s HAWT! Let’s face it, who DOESN’T want to corrupt a Misha Collins angel six ways to Sunday? Below is his first appearance in the show, black shadow wings and all, rating in my top five of awesome entrances by a new character.

Well technically he sort of entered earlier on when he burned the eyes out of a psychic when she called on him. But that’s what you get for looking upon an angel in its ethereal form.

Every true fangirl of Supernatural will tear up every time we hear the song Carry On My Wayward Son by Kansas. And we’ll sing our hearts out to it while running flashbacks in our minds of Dean and Sam’s life trials, weeping when the brothers are separated during the season finale. Then again during the season premier when the song is used to run through more flashbacks of the two brothers being separated either by women, Hell, Purgatory, or whatever else the writers want to torture us with.
The fandom around this show can verge on creepy i.e. fan fic involving Wincest, and don’t even get me started on the Magical Healing Penis or the fascination with Sam’s giant hands. Yeah, still wish I hadn’t stumbled into that quagmire of yikes 0_o
So here’s a mad minute explanation of Supernatural. I invite everyone to hop on board and join this awesome fandom!

Happy Halloween!
As some may know, Halloween is my favorite holiday. Trick or Treat, ghouls and goblins, costumes—this is the time of year to get your freaky side on.
As far as costumes go, I’ve found the perfect one if I were going to a Halloween party. For those in the know, you’ll immediately recognize this charming child is dressed as Jareth the Goblin King (photo via Pinterest.)
And for those who aren’t familiar with David Bowie’s role in Labrynth, a great pox shall fall upon your family!

I’ve researched a few sites for costumes, and am pretty floored by what I’ve found. And I wasn’t sure if I should LOL or *headdesk*
So above you see a Teletubby, which is a pretty good representation of the men’s costumes I found online.

And here’s the women’s…
Yup, slutty nurse covered in blood. And she’s slutty, did I mention that? Not that slutty is a bad thing, mind you, in the right context it’s darn right fun. But more and more it’s difficult to find any women’s costumes that don’t show as much skin as a medieval bar wench peddling her wares. And you are to wear these naughty things in public? Let’s compare men’s to women’s again.

Men’s
All right, get those cock jokes out of your system…

Women’s
All righty then, men, you are free to look as ridiculous as possible. But women, make sure to wax head to toe. And might as well forget about staying warm in those colder areas, your bits are alllll hanging out Halloween night! Unfortunately, the hoochie girl trend is strong for the prepubescent portion of the female population as well. Which makes me want to punch someone in the throat.
I mean, every parent wants their tween girls to dress like strippers right? There are guys out there with just such photos hidden in boxes in their basements, grateful to you for doing so. Or am I a prude? I can’t tell anymore.

But it’s okay, your son is safely dressed like a great big red M&M.

Sex & the Single Woman

by Olivia Starke

As I’ve mentioned on previous occasions, my dating life is extinct. Much like the Dodo bird. Granted much of it is my fault seeing as how my little town is filled with men adorned with self-inked tattoos whose main source of income is cooking dope in their bathtubs. My standards are too high, at least according to their comments when I shoot down their advances.

Think of this guy, but with more hepatitis C and worse taste in clothing.

So yeah, much of my sex life is, er, self-motivated. I find it amusing how many men will cop to yankin’ the ol’ wienerschnitzel, but so few women will admit to riding the autoerotica train.

Some limp weiners for your consideration.

If mentioned in the wrong company you’ll be at best shunned, and lumped in with those who sell their bodies for crack. “Oh, that’s shameful. I’d NEVER do that!”  before they rattle off something about the bible and some guy spilling his seed one time, blah blah blah. That’s about the time I get an annoying Your call cannot be completed as dialed recording in my brain.
All I can say is self-induced orgasms rock, and if you’re having a bad day they’re better than Prozac.

For future reference this is my orgasm face.

Not to mention knowing what works for your body is a blessing for your partner. If they’re awkwardly groping around for the magic Yeehaw! spot, being able to guide them in the right direction will benefit all parties involved. And showing them how to do it is even more fun ;;) And throwing in the toy/toys you’ve collected for your own gratification makes any ordinary love fest a plus one party.

So ladies, masturbation  isn’t a shameful thing. Jump in there if you haven’t before, and find out what an awesome time you can have all by yourself ;;)

Indulge your book fetish:

There’s nothing quite like staring over a field of pure white, untouched and unmarred by human hands. And I’m not talking about a fresh layer of powdery stuff on some Rocky Mountain snowcapped tip—I’m talking about that blank document sheet in your Word program. Both friend and beast, it promises literary genius or a descent into madness—depending on the mood of your Muse and Writing Drones.

Today, madness is on the menu, for me anyway. After spending several “constructive” hours on Cracked this morning, getting the blogging juices flowing, I’ve found myself staring out the front door. What wonderful scene greets my curious eyes? You ask. The side of my pickup truck. Yup, that’s it. To my credit, the rain has cleared and birds are singing beautifully right now. And tree frogs, which means more rain to us simple country folk.

Truth be known it’s taken me nearly two hours today to come up with this little blip of brilliance, which I guess could be a testament to my determination to finish this post. Despite the multitude of reasons I’ve found to avoid doing so, including washing the dishes.
What are some of the ways you avoid finishing blogs/edits/WIPs? Leave a comment with email to enter to win a free e-copy of the last tale in my Zombies In Vegas trilogy, Living Is Overrated.

Her sultry smile encouraged him. “And what kind of woman do you think I am?”

His fingers moved to the fly of his jeans. “One that can handle whatever I give you.”

She arched her back, sucking her bottom lip between her teeth, a long moan slipping from her throat. He held her gaze while he undid the fly of his jeans and shoved the denim down. Her eyebrow quirked as his hard cock sprang free.

“Commando?”

He shrugged. “Laundry day.”

“Oh, I’m not complaining.”

He jerked the T-shirt over his head, before taking her in from head to toe. Her curves left little to the imagination despite a modest T-shirt and jeans. He licked his lips, ready to get his mouth on every inch of her body. His planning had been off. Having her tied to the bed made it impossible to get the shirt over her head.

Fuck it. Never a man to give in to defeat, he crawled over her and claimed a nipple between his teeth. Kelly bucked into him, her cry of pleasure urging him on. Palming the other breast, he squeezed it. He ground his hips into her, slipping his hands beneath her top to savor the cool satin of her stomach. Needing more, he shoved the shirt over her breasts, and with a growl of frustration, grabbed the delicate lace of her bra and yanked. The cups ripped, her breasts spilling out to his greedy mouth.

“Please, Nick, oh God….”

Nick pushed away, straddling her. “Fuck me, I’m going to come before this even starts.” It’d been several months since his last relationship, and his balls had drawn tight, ready to blow.
Her eyes widened, studying his every move. “Are you going to torture me and not let me play?”
He circled his girth with his hand, stroking down the length and back up again. Her eyes glowed in the low lighting, and her pale hair fanned around her head like a halo. His personal angel, if angels could be nymphomaniacs.

“We have all night. Plus, I kind of enjoy watching you squirm.”

She bit her bottom lip until it turned red and plump between her teeth.

Zombie Love

by Olivia Starke

I can’t be sure why the zombie craze has hit us, whether humorous movie like Zombieland, or a more serious post-apocalyptic show like The Walking Dead. Regardless, I love them all. Though I’m a diehard watcher of The Walking Dead, I really love when you mix a horror with humor. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched Shaun of the Dead. Mix dry British humor with blood and guts, and I’m ready for a good time!
There are no blood and guts in my Zombie subseries (okay, maybe a touch) and the horror for the most part is well hidden behind sizzling sex scenes and humor ;;) I hope they’ll entertain horror fans none-the-less, as well as those who don’t fancy scary movies.

“Okay, rules are number one—I am always one-half of this trio. And number two, I am always one-half of this trio, got it?”

Both men smiled and Gabe saluted before capturing her lips, thrusting his tongue deep into her mouth. Meeting him with equal vigor, she wrapped her arms round his neck, their tongues doing a naughty tango. Groaning, she allowed him to drag her back onto the bed, hugging his pelvis between her thighs. His erection pressed against her slit, and she ground into it, until hot chills raced through her body.

Her inner sex fiend played out scenarios with the two men in her mind that’d put any porno to shame. Back, front, top, bottom—naked Twister without the game board. She’d never had two men in her at the same time, and damn it, she’d live out every dirty little fantasy she could come up with.

Placing her palms on Gabe’s chest, she shoved him away, ready to sample new cuisine. He grunted, bouncing on the mattress next to her as she stretched a hand toward her Johnny Depp look-alike. From the corner of her eye, she saw her man smile, his blue eyes hungry for a show.

Eric climbed atop her, his moist lips on hers, denying her his tongue.

A tease, intriguing. What other dirty secrets does he have?

She writhed beneath him, grinding her pelvis into his. His cock brushed her bare inner thigh where her skirt had ridden up, precum leaving a titillating, wet trail.

“What are you two watching?” Eric asked against her lips.

Her swimming thoughts grappled for land. “Huh?”

A low, tortured moan filled her ears and she looked toward the sound. They’d left the TV on when going to the club, and a black and white horror movie played.

“It’s a marathon of old, scary movies, mostly about the undead,” Gabe answered for her, his fingertips brushing her bare skin under her bunched up shirt.

Eric smiled down, his eyes crinkling at the corners. “Interesting choice.”

He shifted, his hard-on pressing against her panties.

She met his smile with one of her own. “My favorite thing to watch. Everyone loves a zombie, right?”

Zombie Lovin’
Dating a dead guy would be complicated and complications were one thing she liked to avoid.

Samantha Perry expected a fun weekend in Vegas, what she didn’t expect is the hottie she wakes up next to after a wild night of drinking. Tall, blue-eyed, and all American, Jake is the epitome of male virility—give or take the fact he lacks a heartbeat. But sometimes even the living impaired need a little lovin’.

And Jake has a big surprise in store for Samantha….
Excerpt: Some days it doesn’t pay to get out of bed, especially if you wake up with a corpse.
Her new companion had been the most watched man in the club, and Samantha Perry couldn’t help the sense of conquest when they stumbled into her hotel room. The room swayed and she had to clutch his shirt to stay on her feet.
“Watch out, baby.” His husky whisper brushed her ear, sending chills down her spine. “I think you’re a little drunk.”
She giggled. “You try walking in four-inch stilettos. I can barely manage these on the best of days.”
He chuckled. “Fair enough, but damn they’re sexy.”
Her hair clung around her shoulders, her blouse and jeans still damp. “How did I get so wet?” Her foggy memory offered no explanations.
“Such open ended questions you ask.” He captured her lips in a hot, distracting kiss. “So many answers I could give.”
He tugged the blouse over her head, pitched it aside, and placed his hands on her shoulders giving a gentle shove. She squealed, but luckily bounced, the bed breaking her fall.
She studied him, or tried to—her focus was a little off. “So what was it you were saying earlier, about the living dead something or other?”
Tugging her jeans off, he tossed them over his shoulder, drawing yet another giggle from Samantha. He gave her a lopsided grin. “You mean living while dead? We’ll have this discussion, but later.” He kissed her, his tongue pushing into her mouth, teasing her with short thrusts. “And I mean much, much later.”

Growing Up An Only

by Olivia Starke

Growing up, friends thought I was lucky to be an only child, while schoolmates assumed I lived a spoiled life of luxury.  I know there were spoiled onlys out there, but, alas, I wasn’t one of them. I grew up on a farm which doesn’t lend itself to spoildom—only a higher share of chores.

For those who don’t know what it’s like to be an only, I can tell you I always found myself relating to adults much easier than kids my age. In family gatherings I’d try to stay in the kitchen with my mother and aunts instead of joining my cousins in games outside. At school, I’d try to cling to teachers. I didn’t have great social skills, and other than the b/f/f I grew up with, I only had at most two other friends at any given time.

I am grateful for what it did give me. I consider myself stupidly honest. If your mom nearly faints at the smashing new haircut you’ve given yourself at age 4, and none of your cousins are around to point fingers at, you learn to accept blame and consequences early in life. I didn’t have siblings to help me fight any battles, I had to stand on my own two feet. And I developed a wicked imagination to keep me company on long summer days when the chores were finished.

I still think it’d be nice to have a brother or sister, but I’m pretty happy as is. Though that spoiled business would be pretty cool to check out, too….
